CHELMSFORD, Mass. -- Billerica defeated Chelmsford on Thanksgiving Say, ending a four year Turkey Day draught and six game regular season skid, as they came away with a 24-7 road victory.
In one of the best rivalries in Eastern Massachusetts football, Billerica stepped up defensively and made big plays when needed.
Billerica was led by talented juniors Jeff Trainor '16, Drew Laundry '16 and Justin Beck '16.
Chelmsford received strong efforts from seniors Jack Campsmith '15 and Jack Hansbury '15.
Chelmsford and Billerica spit their season series at 1-1 as the Lions defeated the Indians earlier this season 16-12.
Billerica finishes their season with a 3-8 record, while Chelmsford concludes their 2014 campaign with a 4-7 record.
