Hession Leads Westwood to Upset Win over Holliston

HOLLISTON - Westwood wide receiver Kevin Hession '17 continued his stellar start to the 2016 season on Friday, as the senior came up big when called upon. Hession scored two touchdowns, including the game winning score, in Westwood's 36-34 win over Tri-Valley League rival Holliston.
"This is exactly what we wanted tonight," Hession said after the game. "The rain never stopped us."
Westwood trailed 28-8 in the third quarter, but they kept marching and would save their best football for the last 20 minutes of the game. Despite the pouring rain conditions Westwood's aerial attack, led by Hessian and quarterback Reed Wilson, would come through when it counted most.
Hessian would haul in a 24-yard touchdown pass from Wilson, after laying out and completing the grab, with just 1:53 remaining in the game to give Westwood the final lead of the game.
"I give credit to the coaches for this win tonight," Hession said. "They encouraged us to never give up, even when it looked like we were going to lose to our rival."
Westwood and Holliston will meet again on Thanksgiving Day in their annual rivalry game.
"We are determined to beat them again on Thanksgiving," Hession said. "We have a lot of work to do in the next few weeks."
The win moves Westwood to 2-2 overall and 2-0 in the TVL and the loss drops the Panthers to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the TVL,
