2012 Football Notes: 10 Top Performers in Week 9

Each week we continue to highlight 10 of the top performances in New England from the prior weekend of action.

 "10" Top Performances

Amherst RB (MA) Kieran Presley ’14 (pictured) was named this week’s New England Prep Stars Athlete of the Week. Presley ran for 359 yards on 21 carries, grabbed three catches for 60 yards and added four TDs and one INT in a 42-20 win over Chicopee.

 

Not to be outdone was our next nine to shine:

 

Chris Sarni ’13 QB – Wellesley (MA) - Sarni completed 18-of-24 passes for 280 yards and three TDs. He also had 16 carries for 140 yards and three TDs in a 40-34 upset win  over Natick.

Nick Oswald ‘13 – RB – North Andover (MA) – Oswald ran for 420 yards on 24 carries and added six TDs in a 56-28 win over Dracut.

Jack Galvin ’14 WR Lowell (MA) - Galvin )pictured above) hauled in 15 passes for 159 yards and four TDs in Lowell's 42-35 upset win over Andover.

Brian Dunlap ’15 WR – Natick (MA) – Despite the loss to Wellesley Dunlap hauled in 16 passes for 257 yards and two TDs.

Stephen Barmore ’14 QB – Southington (MA) Completed 20-of-28 passes for 324 yards and four TDs in 35-14 victory at Simsbury.

Arkeel Newsome '14 RB - Ansonia (CT) - Newsome had his best game of the season as last year's rushing leader ran for 254 yards on 34 carries with 3 TDs in a 41-12 win over Wolcott.

Queen Fleeting '13 – Windsor (CT)A frequent visitor to the "Ten Top Performers" list Fleeting threw five TD passes to go along with 330 yards through the air and 20 on the ground in 49-7 win over Maloney-Meriden.

Ryan Vultaggio ’14 – Nobles (MA)In a 49-26 win over Brooks Vultaggio ran for 250 yards and four TDs and threw for 204 yards and two more TDs.

Sean Conroy '13 - Pinkerton Academy (NH) - Conroy passed for three TDs as the Astros defeated Nashua South, 40-20 on Friday night.
