Last week was a wild and exciting week in Massachusetts High School lacrosse. Milestones were achieved, streaks were broken and stars continued to shine on lacrosse fields from Western Mass. to Cape Cod.

We featured some of the top performers and performances below, with notes and links to some of the top media coverage of their efforts.

  • Saturday was a big day for milestones; as Hull High School attackman Anthony Marcella ’16 broke the 300-point mark vs. Archbishop Williams. In Hull’s 14-5 victory, Marcella scored six goals and added two assists, giving him 305 career points to date.

 

  • Higham’s Jake Brodie ’16 (5 goals) and Marc O’Rourke (3 goals) combined for eight goals, as Hingham defeated Duxbury 14-6 for the first time in 16 years. Read more on Boston Lax

 

  • BC High picked up two huge Catholic Conference wins over Catholic Memorial and Xaverian last week. Will Bowen ’18 and the Eagles’ defense shut down CM on Tuesday in a 11-5 win.  Read more on ESPN Boston  On Thursday BC High pulled off an 8-7 OT win over Xaverian, as Ryan Cuozzo ’18 scored in overtime to lead the Eagles to victory.   • Aidan Cyr ’16 and Austin Hoey ’16  led the way for Concord-Carlisle offensively, as C-C defeated DCL rival Acton-Boxborough, 12-5. It was the second win of the season for the Patriots over A-B. Read more on ESPN Boston

 

  • Littleton junior Griffin Shoemaker ’16 has excelled this season  and Wednesday was no different, as the attack scored six goals, as Littleton 12-4 win over Leominster. Read more on Suite Sports

 

  • Minnechaug continued their 2016 dominance, as goalie Brett Jones ’16 made 17 saves and attack Chase Beauchamp ’16 scored five goals, en route to a 11-4 win over St. John’s Shrewsbury. Read more on Mass Live
