Each week we highlight 10 of the top performances in Massachusetts for boys and girls basketball for the prior week of action.

Player of the Week:
Wayne Selden ’13 – Tilton School – Our MAPS player of the week Selden had two monster games scoring and rebounding in Tilton’s two wins over Lawrence Academy and Holderness last week.
Olivia Healy ’13 – Reading – The Richmond-bound senior scored 22 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and had seven steals (all in only three quarters of play) in a 64-34 win over Stoneham on Tuesday.
Infiniti Thomas-Waheed ’14 – Newton North – The junior scored 29 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as Newton North remained RED-hot defeating Lincoln-Sudbury, 70-39.
Caityln Abela ’14 – Oliver Ames – The Super-senior had a stellar effort with 33 points, 10 rebounds and six steals in a 75-33 win over King Philip.
Rachel McCarron ’14 – Groton-Dunstable – McCarron scored 25 points and pulled down 21 rebounds, to lead G-D to a 63-42 win over Fitchburg.
Diondra Woumn ’14 – Lynn English – Woumn helped Lynn English remain on fire as they defeated Medford 57-48. The junior scored 25 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and had 5 steals in the win. MAPS will be live in Lynn on Friday to watch Lynn English take on Revere at 7 p.m.
Darien Fernandez ’13 – Wareham – Fernandez scored 24 points as Wareham defeated Dighton-Rehoboth, 63-55.
Tyler Gibson ’13 – Rockland – In a 71-35 win over Hull, the UMass Lowell-bound Gibson was huge scoring 23 points and pulling down 18 rebounds.
Dan Connors ’13 – Danvers - The senior forward /center scored 32 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in a 70-51 win over Revere. Connors and Danvers take on Beverly in a big North Shore match-up on Tuesday night.
Justin Mount ’13 – Westford Academy – The star Wide Reciever for the Grey Ghosts is also having a great start on the hardwood as he scored 34 points and pulled down 18 rebounds in a 66-60 win over Newton South.
Rene Castro ’13 – Worcester Academy – In a 78-57 win over Phillips Andover the Butler-bound star led the Hiltoppers in scoring with 27 points.
